Why Heaven Exists
Now add to the equation of General Relativity + Evolution, the Human desire for immortality, which is just as real as it can be. It predates Humans. Chimpanzees react very strongly to the death of a companion. The split second that Neanderthal, (probably a lady) refused to accept the finality of death, carried her dead loved one into the furthest, most protected part of their cave and covered him with flowers to fight the stench, Heaven became unavoidable. We started doing something about death, not accepting it but fighting against it. As sure as the Nautilus, the Moon Ship Colombia and the International Space station, as sure as there are robots rolling around on Mars and vacuuming carpets on Earth, as sure as their are communication satellites and cell phones, there is a Heaven. All of those started out as mere dreams that became reality because we chose to make it so.), John's Cube, (mentioned in the second to last chapter of Revelation: Revelation 21:10-27) became unavoidable, if for no other reason, simply self-fulfilling prophesy. John won't be the first 'science fiction writer' or even the last, to have his very detailed 'fantasy' turned into reality.
It is the goal of science to gain knowledge, preserve species, and prolong life. Every doctor is working towards eternal life. Every scientist is building Heaven. Our tenacious species used to bring down prey by running it to exhaustion. No other animal can hunt like that. That tenacity will take us to the stars and it will build Heaven, learn everything there is to know, and preserve every single life form for eternity, because a mind really is a terrible thing to waste. So we are working hard to learn how not to waste them. Yes, that includes animal life. Christ said, in Matthew 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.' They also are carbon based meat computers with ghostable operating systems. The 12th chapter of Job says they have souls. The word often translated life there, is the Hebrew word Nephish. This is the exact same Hebrew word that is used in Genesis 2:7 where it describes God blowing the Nephesh into Adam and making him a living Nephesh. Of course Hebrew words had to do double and triple duty, but common sense and compassion also tell you animals go to Heaven. If they did not, how could it be paradise? Science is working to preserve the grand diversity of Life. Over the next ten to 15 billion years, our tenacious species succeeds. 'Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? Tell me why would we NOT want to create something as beautiful as the following?
Revelation 21:10-21:27 'And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her brilliance was like a very costly stone, as a stone of crystal-clear jasper. It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
The one who spoke with me had a gold measuring rod to measure the city, and its gates and its wall. The city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the rod, fifteen hundred miles; its length and width and height are equal. And he measured its wall, seventy-two yards, according to human measurements, which are also angelic measurements.
The material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it; and nothing unclean, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
John won't be the first science fiction writer or the last to have His fictional dream brought to life. 'what one man can conceive of another man can do.' As much as we desire to lvie forever, it is only a matter of time and we have plenty of that.
How Souls are Immortal.
It may be very true that all we are, are carbon based, 'meat' computers But that is perfectly ok. Every sophisticated computer must have an operating system. Any operating system can be 'ghosted' over to a better hardware system when the technology exists. The computer I am typing on had this happen a few months ago. I needed a bigger, faster hard drive with more memory. I didn't want to lose the operating system I had. I had all my stuff on it, had spent hours uploading and downloading programs to it. I purchased a better hard drive and paid my friend Ed twenty bucks to use a program to 'ghost' my beloved operating system over to the new drive.
The Bible is true if for not other reason than self fulfilling prophesy. Christ is Head of the Humanity and the Universe because we WANT Him to be. Buddha could have had the position but from reading both their words we can tell, Buddha did not want it. Christ does. Buddha said. "I am not a god, but awake (enlightened)." Christ said, "I am the Way, the truth and the Light and no one gets to the Father except through Me." "Before Moses was, 'I Am.'" and "I Am the Resurrection and the Life." I believe neither Buddha, nor Jesus are liars. Both are exactly who they said they are. Buddha is certainly enlightened for he was a very wise man, but Jesus is the way to the Father. "I Am" is what God called Himself when He first spoke to Moses on the top of the mountain. Once Christ evolves all the way around the time space bubble it is easy for to create the Universe He evolves in and guide His own growth. Ephesians 4:10."He who descended is also He who ascended far above all the Heavens that He might fill all things." John 15:1. "I Am the True Vine, my Father is the Vinedresser. The Changeless Father guides the growth of His Son. Inside the time space bubble the Son grows and evolves as does all Life but (John 10:30). "The Father and I are One." The Universe is a nest in which God raises Himself. Brains are simply computers based on carbon instead of silicon. Every computer must have an operating system. That is what we call a soul. Like any operating system they can be upgraded to a better hardware system. That's what Heaven is.But there is a problem. All our operating systems/souls have "bugs." You can call them faults, flaws, sins, viruses, mental baggage, it does not matter what you call them, but if Christ allowed these "bugs" into Heaven, soon it would be no better than the beta test environment we are living in now. An operating system with viruses in it will soon contaminate any network it is connected with. But we cannot get rid of all of these "bugs" ourselves, no matter how hard we try. Like all operating systems we must be saved and debugged by our Maker. That's the reason Christ taught that in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, one must be "Born Again." Christ wants to indwell you, install a program, (Himself) in you that will debug your system and hook you up to His network (Body). You have free will and always will. ( A Universe without free will would be its OWN kind of Hades)! Because you have free will you can refuse Him, but don't! I do not know what Hell is, but there are plenty of places in the natural Universe that can qualify. Even the eventual fate of this Universe, unmodified by Life would qualify. You don't want to end up there by default because you never asked Christ to indwell you and debug you! Even if there were no Heaven you are much better off with Him than without Him! The peace He brings is worth it all by itself if there were no other benefits, but there are many other benefits! I know. I've done it. I speak of what I know and have experienced for myself, not just what I believe. I do not know if other religions work, or not. I do know asking Christ to indwell you does work. I testify only to what I know, works. Christians are witnesses, not just believers Love this? Hate this? Want to show me yours?
